Art 1: Pottery
We feel so blessed to have a new kiln! Thanks to the Barnabas Club for allowing us to be able to create ceramics this year! Art 1 students molded and shaped their clay using various coil methods. Once their pottery was complete, we waited 7 days for the clay to fully dry. After those 7 days, the clay was fired, glazed, and then fired again. Our kiln gets to temperatures of 1,800 degrees during a firing and takes 8 hours for one firing!
