Art 3- Chuck Close Inspired Paintings

For the past two months, Art 3 students have been working hard on grid paintings inspired by the artist Chuck Close. They have spent countless hours creating these incredible works of art. Throughout the process, I was completely amazed by their diligence, determination, and positive attitudes. I am so proud to finally reveal to you what they have been working on for so long! These are done on huge canvases that they built and stretched!

Fine Arts Night

Last night was our High School Fine Arts Night. The evening started with a "Gallery Walk". Guests enjoyed baked goods, breads, and hot drinks while viewing lots of incredible art. Every student enrolled in an art class this year had at least one piece hanging in the gallery! After the Gallery Walk, we moved into the auditorium and enjoyed performances by our band, drama department, and choir! It was such a wonderful night for the Arts!

Line Art

Art 1 students have been studying about Line, one of the elements of art. For this project, students could use lines or implied lines to create an interesting composition/design.The background was to be left black and white, while the inside of the hand was done in color. Principal Keith Campbell chose 4 projects from each Art 1 class for our "Principal's Choice" awards.
