Art 1: Patterned Paper Relief

After a study of the element of art, Pattern, students designed original motifs to use in their patterned paper relief. After a grid was drawn, students used x-acto knives to cut out their motifs!

Art 1: Micrography Thumbprints

Rhythm- the principle of art that indicates movement by the repetition of elements or objects. 

Students studied their own thumbprint and then used repeated implied lines to create rhythm. This project incorporated free writing and micrography!

Art 2: Linoleum Block Relief Prints

After students sketched their design onto the linoleum, they cut out the design with a gauge.

Once cutting was complete, students then inked their block and printed!
