Art 2: Watercolor Paintings
Before starting this project, Art 2 students researched various watercolor masters. Students also practiced 8 different watercolor techniques: graded wash, wet-in-wet, salt on wet, rubbing alcohol on wet, plastic wrap on wet, straw splatter, crayon resist, and dry brush. They were required to use at least three different techniques in their paintings!

Art 1: Printmaking
Art 1 students created both one and two color relief prints. This is a very tedious process! A two color print requires a lot of attention to detail as the plate has to be lined up perfectly when you print the second color. Students executed this process very well.

All 5 Art 3 students got to experiment with oil paint for the first time this past week. It was fun watching them learn the medium and their paintings turned out awesome!
